What’s New for the 2025 Toyota Corolla?

The Toyota Corolla has maintained its strong appeal among value-minded drivers in need of a compact car, and it adds a sporty variation to the mix in the 2025 model year. In 1987, the Corolla FX16 stood out as a more athletic version of the Corolla at the time, and the 2025 Corolla FX is a revival of the FX16.

The 2025 Corolla FX is based on the standard Corolla’s SE trim level. It adds sporty touches to soup up the exterior. The wheel design is exclusive to the FX. It displays cropped, Y-shaped spokes that add edginess to the Corolla FX from the side view. The side also shows off smoothly rounded fender definition and streaming accentuation over the lower door panels. The car’s profile is strongly curved while the nose is rounded. An A-frame grille with a tight, diamond pattern on the mesh is topped by a minimized black element. The wishbone-style LED headlights extend centrally to connect with this black element. The Corolla FX is available with a two-tone paint color option.

Under the hood, the Corolla FX is engineered with a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine. This is a 169-horsepower system, and it connects to a continuously variable auto transmission. This is the same powertrain available in the other Corolla trim levels. Compared to other Corolla versions, the FX has a sporty, lowered suspension as well as upgraded steering tuning.

Inside, this appealing model shows off a 10.5-inch infotainment system screen, which is new to the Corolla’s feature availability for 2025. The Corolla FX also has Moonstone gray seats that are set off by orange accent stitching. Additional features in this model are a wireless charging pad, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, a lane departure alert, a post-collision safety system, lane keep assist, wireless Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, USB ports, a keyless ignition, hands-free entry, heated side mirrors, a rear camera, adaptive cruise control and many others.
