What’s New for the 2024 Toyota Tundra?

The full-size Toyota Tundra truck is a strong, capable model that stands apart from other full-size trucks on the market in exciting ways. The Tundra released its third generation only a few years ago, and Toyota has made notable mid-generation updates for 2024. One of the updates is the ability to add the TRD Off-Road package to the Platinum trim level. The package’s features include a black grille, two-tone door handles, black mirror caps, and black window surrounds.

Another update is the Nightshade package that is now offered with the Limited trim level. In addition, the Limited trim also now comes with a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument panel. Bundled upgrades for the Platinum and 1794 trim levels are now available as standalone options: a load-leveling air suspension and a head-up display. Plus, all of the 2024 Toyota Tundra trim levels except for the TRD Pro have an optional 3-inch lift kit.

The two available engines for the Toyota Tundra are unchanged. The base engine is a V6, 3.5-liter turbo gas system that delivers 389 horsepower. It comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and your choice of rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. The Hybrid Max is optional only on select higher trim levels and it generates 437 total horsepower.

The incredible features available in the 2024 Toyota Tundra vary by trim. The entry-level features include a wireless internet hotspot, wireless smartphone app connectivity, lane departure mitigation, adaptive cruise control, an 8-inch touch display screen, and lane keeping. Some of the many additional features that are either standard or optional for the Tundra’s higher trim levels are a head-up display, leather and wood materials, a sound-reducing windshield, a wireless phone charger, aluminum sport pedals, a 12.3-inch digital display for the driver’s instruments, a household power outlet, a JBL audio system, a surround-view camera, a digital rearview mirror, ambient cabin lights, and others.
