E-mail Print PDF
The Classic Auto Group, Based in Northeast Ohio is ranked among the top dealership groups in the nation. Founded in 1979 by Company President James A. Brown, Classic began as a single Chevrolet Dealership in Mentor, Ohio and has grown to include thirty (30) franchises sold at sixteen (16) locations throughout Northeast Ohio.

Manufacturer's nameplates include: Chevrolet (2), Ford (2), Toyota, Scion, Lexus, BMW, Mini, Mazda, Volkswagen, Cadillac (2), Buick (3), Pontiac (3), GMC (3), Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Honda, Saab, Hyundai & Nissan.

In 2007 Classic opened a brand new facility for Buick, Pontiac, GMC and Cadillac, in Streetsboro, Ohio. The Campus will eventually house up to 5 dealerships and will serve the suburbs of North Akron and Southeastern Cleveland.

The decisions to award Classic with Mini, Honda, Nissan and Buick, Pontiac, GMC open points in Streetsboro were made in part, because of the overall business philosophy and high ethical standards established by Mr. Brown. The Classic organization has a reputation as being a cut above other automotive dealerships. In fact, Classic has often been referred to as the "Nordstrom's" of car dealerships due to the company's core philosophy of taking care of the customers. This is not a merely a mission statement, but is the cornerstone to Classic's overall success. The customer is made to feel like a guest and is afforded the highest level of professionalism from every employee.

2009 has brought many changes to Classic. In January, Classic finished work on their state of the art Luxury Car Campus located in Willoughby Hills that houses Lexus, BMW, and Mini.

In April, Classic Mazda and Classic Hyundai relocated to their own renovated facilities on the Mentor Campus.

The commitment to professionalism is evident in every aspect of the operation. The service departments are spotless and the showrooms are cleaned and polished daily (as are the new and used vehicles). Landscape crews are constantly grooming the grounds, which gives our customers the assurance that every aspect of the operation is truly superior.

Mr. Brown sets the standards by which the employees conduct business. In his words; "Great service isn't good enough, the top priority is to exceed the customer's expectations." This dedication to customer's satisfaction is what gives Classic an edge in the marketplace and is why Classic continues to grow and expand.
